Bluesy, folky, "pop" singer, Sara Bareilles is definitely MUCH more than just a pretty face with inspirational music. in fact, sometimes you get much more than you anticipated. Together, they collaborate to build a genuine and heartfelt collection of music.What you see is NOT always what you get. Heather's classical training in voice and the piano led her to realize her true love of Americana and rock & roll. Greg's thirty year journey with the guitar has taken him through metal, classical, rock and the blues. What happened was the creation of three hours of soulful and soaring music, a combination of originals and covers. Two years later, they were asked to put together a small acoustic set to be performed at City Coffee Company in Saint Augustine.
Greg and Heather met as music teachers in Virginia, married, and moved to Florida in 2012 after the birth of their daughter. The set list of each event is carefully customized, but vibrant energy is at the heart of every performance. Timberwood has re-imagined music of the last five decades, while creating songs of their own.
Their four hour set includes a diverse collection of music, from their own originals and romantic ballads, to classic rock & roll and intimate country songs, to their own renditions of pop and hip hop hits.
Greg's fluid and effortless guitar combines with Heather's striking vocals and serene keys to create a brilliant new sound. Their music is thoughtful, with a bittersweet passion known to bring listeners to tears. Timberwood, an acoustic duo, is Heather and Greg Lanza. Imagine what would happen if a metal guitarist and an opera singer got together and started making acoustic music, if they took away all the gloss and effects of postmodern music and created something really authentic and true, if every rendition and every original were built by heart, from the bottom up.
